What is the Walk About Program:

The Warama Culture Walk About Program is an immersive cultural experience designed for school groups across the region. Rooted in authentic First Nations teachings, the program provides students with a deeper understanding of identity, culture, and connection to Country.

Through guided cultural walks, Dreamtime storytelling, bush tucker knowledge, and traditional practices, the Walk About Program fosters respect and engagement with First Nations heritage. It is tailored to support disengaged youth and those seeking a stronger sense of identity, with the goal of reducing school suspension and detention rates.

Flexible pricing ensures accessibility for all schools, making it possible for every student to participate regardless of budget. The program aligns with key educational frameworks, including AIPs, PACE, and ECEF, optimizing First Nations community engagement within schools.

By bringing culture to the classroom and beyond, Warama Culture’s Walk About Program creates meaningful, lasting connections between students and the land, inspiring future generations to walk proudly in their culture.
